Shop Lead

MillenWorks is actively seeking a Shop Lead with fabrication experience in the automotive/ground vehicle industry.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Minimum 5 years of fabrication and/or prototyping experience
  • Minimum AA or diploma from accredited technical school
  • Act as liaison with project manager and shop personnel in meeting requirements, maintaining deadlines and communicate status of projects
  • Take an advisory role as a subject matter expert within the production setting
  • Generalist background within the production arena doing fabrication, machining, MIG/TIG welding, working with lathes and mills
  • Provide hands-on direction in fabricating, MIG/TIG welding, machining, and any all around production work required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with production, engineering, and management staff required
  • Proven ability to read blueprints, maintain record-keeping and use of precision measuring tools required
  • Must be a team player with good organizational, planning and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Successful candidate shall possess good computer skills, as well as good oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible “can do” attitude; able to take directions and work unsupervised; self-motivated
  • Professional courtesy, manners and demeanor. Overall a positive attitude and ability to communicate tactfully with peers and able to accept/implement feedback received
  • An interest in learning new skills/technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of comfort in working in team environments

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Prior work experience with a small company (< 100 employees)
  • Experience with both prototype and production within the commercial/industrial and military industries would be ideal
  • Experience with prototype manufacturing techniques
  • Prior defense or entertainment industry experience
  • Detail oriented but efficiency conscious
  • Familiarity with ISO procedures

COMPENSATION

Salary is negotiable based on experience. For permanent full-time employees, MillenWorks offers medical, dental, and vision insurance. We also offer Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and childcare, Life insurance, Long-term disability and participation in 401K. MillenWorks has a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
