We are looking for a Program Manager with Business Development experience.

Applicants must have the ability to handle concurrent fast paced projects, be an aggressive self-starter requiring minimal direction, and be willing to jump in to do whatever is required to make a project a success. This applicant will perform self-directed and cooperative business development activities to capture new business and expand existing contracts. This position will focus 50+% on marketing and business development for the defense industry, although opportunities to expand into other markets exist. This position reports to the President and will work collaboratively with market-focused divisional Directors and other Program Managers.

• We are seeking candidates with 5-10 years of proven program management and business development experience with a strong technical background working in the defense or aerospace industry. Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills are a must.
• A minimum of Bachelor degree
• U.S. Citizenship
• Experience managing or co-managing high value, multi-year contracts
• Program management skills including critical path scheduling, resource management, risk management, decision making, problem solving, customer expectation management, contract negotiation and proposal generation
• Strong background in marketing, business development, and contract capture
• Ability to communicate complex technical and managerial issues to a variety of audiences including presentations to large groups
• An entrepreneurial and customer-focused approach to Marketing and BD
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Project
• Interest in working on fast-paced, medium-risk projects
• Experience in R&D or prototyping
• Very strong organizational skills a must
• A positive attitude, excellent communication and writing skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required
• Ability and willingness to travel as required to achieve marketing and business development goals

• Previous automotive, Department of Defense or Systems level design experience is highly desirable
• Current contacts within the defense industry
• Existing DoD security clearance
• Engineering degree and business degree
• Experience with QS9001 or equivalent quality system
• Experience with application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts for cost, schedule and risk management
• Experience managing defense contracts
• Experience working with 3D CAD systems
• Experience with prototype manufacturing techniques
