MillenWorks is currently seeking a mid level Mechanical Designer with 3-7+ years direct engineering work experience. The ideal candidate will be a generalist with a broad skill set obtained from experience as follows:

• US Citizenship
• Automotive industry experience
• CAD experience : Solidworks and/or ProEngineer (mainly Solidworks)
• Direct experience with interpretation and application of GD&T, Material Call Outs and Mill Specs.
• Ideal applicant has experience with a wide range of technologies and projects, and has previous work experience at both small and medium companies and is very accustomed to working in a fast paced prototype environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of comfort with working in fast paced team environments
• Ability to effectively communicate with engineering and manufacturing staff
• Ability to handle concurrent fast-paced projects with minimal direction
• A positive attitude, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required
• Qualified candidates will be able to work with little supervision

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous Society of Automotive Engineer (SAE) experience a huge plus
• Vehicle suspension design experience
• Experience with power train component design (gearboxes, differentials, and transmissions), chassis design (tube frame, monocoque) and armoring technologies
• Knowledge of prototype manufacturing techniques
