MillenWorks is looking for an Electrical Engineer with 2+ years of direct experience. This engineer will have 75% integrated product team (IPT) lead responsibilities and 25% electrical design responsibilities. Applicants must have the ability to handle concurrent fast paced projects, be an aggressive self-starter requiring minimal direction, and be willing to jump in to do whatever is required to make a project a success. The ideal candidate will be a generalist with a broad skill set obtained from experience as follows:

• US Citizenship required
• A minimum of Bachelor degree
• Ability to communicate complex technical and managerial issues to a variety of audiences including presentations to large groups
• Interest in working on fast-paced, medium-risk projects
• Automotive experience
• Applicants must have excellent hands-on experience
• Very strong organizational skills is a must
• Experience in R&D or prototyping
• A positive attitude, excellent communication and writing skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required

• Prior experience in leadership roles
• Prior experience in military electronics and/or harness
• Hybrid electric or full electric vehicle experience
• Systems-level design of electrical systems (integration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components, etc.)
• Experience with electric vehicle powertrains, Atmel AVR/other MCUs, TI C2000/other DSPs, Xilinx Spartan/other FPGAs, industrial PLCs, embedded control systems, reverse engineering, PCB design, wire harness design, C programming, and/or Matlab/Simulink is desired
• Previous experience with systems engineering, control theory, robotics, power electronics to 5kW, design for EMI/EMC testing, and MIL-SPEC requirements is a plus
• Applicants must be skilled in the application of a systems engineering methodology to design definition
• Previous small company environment is a plus
• Active participation in SAE design competitions (FSAE, Mini Baja, super mileage, etc.) during college is a huge plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Project
• Experience managing or co-managing high value, multi-year contracts is a plus
• Ideal applicant has experience with a wide range of technologies and projects, and has previous work experience at both small and medium/large companies
• Previous Department of Defense experience is a plus
• Existing DoD security clearance is a plus
• Experience with prototype manufacturing techniques
