Contracts Manager / Risk Manager / Legal

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

MillenWorks is actively seeking a Contracts Manager/Risk Manager with a minimum of 7 to 10 years direct work experience with government and commercial contracts including contract management, proposal writing and contract negotiation.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s/MBA preferred) with seven plus years of proposal writing, contract negotiation and management experience working complex, government and commercial contracts
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance (current TS/SCI clearance preferred)
  • Strong background in FAR, DFAR and ITAR compliance
  • Experience with FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, and T&M contract types
  • A positive attitude, excellent communication and writing skills, strong multitasking ability, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with completeness, accuracy, and speed
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and managerial issues to a variety of audiences including presentations to large groups
  • Ability to understand complete gamut of business implications (cost, schedule, and technical to a lesser degree) when negotiating with customers and partner
  • Applicants must have the ability to handle concurrent projects, be an aggressive self-starter requiring minimal direction, and be willing to jump in and do whatever is required to make a project a success
  • Moderate technical background
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Law degree or heavy legal background
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley
  • Experience working with DCAA/DCMA
  • Experience with BAAs, ID/IQs, and other government and commercial RFQs
  • Experience with international contracts management
  • Experience with Intellectual Property (IP), including filing/tracking patent applications and negotiating licensing agreements
  • Experience with Organization Conflict of Interest
  • Experience in R&D or prototyping environment
  • Previous defense, automotive, or entertainment industry experience
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts for cost, schedule and risk management knowledge or training. CPR/CSSR/CFSR preparation. EAC preparation and assessment
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with little direction or oversight

COMPENSATION

Salary is negotiable based on experience. For permanent full-time employees, MillenWorks offers medical, dental, and vision insurance. We also offer Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and childcare, Life insurance, Long-term disability and participation in 401K. MillenWorks has a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
