Accounts Payable - Accounting Assistant

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

MillenWorks has an immediate need to fill a part-time Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant position. Primary responsibilities are data entry and tracking of accounts payable, credit card reconciliation and support to the Accounting and Human Resources department. This position would require a minimum of 24 hours per week with every Friday off. There is a possibility of full time with future personal and business growth.

REWUIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Years of relevant work experience: 3 to 10+ years - Education and experience demonstrating the effective performance of mid-level administrative support
  • Intermediate to advanced user of QuickBooks
  • A fundamental understanding of general accounting practices
  • Intermediate to advanced user of QuickBooks
  • Exceptional skills in organizing, multi-tasking, communicating (written and oral), and maximizing workflow
  • Flexible "can do" attitude; team player; able to take directions and work unsupervised; self-motivated; detail-oriented and organized
  • Professional courtesy, manners and demeanor. Overall a positive attitude and ability to communicate tactfully with peers and able to accept/implement feedback received
  • Ability to produce high quality work with minimal error and minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet competing or short-notice deadlines consistently
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff and management
  • An interest in learning new skills

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
  • Prior work experience with a small company (< 100 employees)
  • 65 wpm accurate typing skills
  • An interest in learning and growing with the company in the long term

COMPENSATION

Salary is negotiable based on experience. For permanent full-time employees, MillenWorks offers medical, dental, and vision insurance. We also offer Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and childcare, Life insurance, Long-term disability and participation in 401K. MillenWorks has a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
